Worlds Greatest Shave

Around this time of year its the time for heads to be shaved (or hair to be spray painted bright pink etc) all to help raise awareness for Leukemia and to raise much need money for research.
This fundraiser is especially important to me as one of my best friends, Lenora was diagnosed with leukemia about a year ago.
So on Sunday a group of us got together for a party (dress up party in the theme of 'hair the musical' or just the 60's)  and 4 people got their heads shaved including one girl!!!  My hubby was one of them and he also grew a porn star moustache for the occassion too.  Here are some photos, click to enlarge...

Some photos of Rory...

Just woken up!

Singing on his karaoke machine in front of the mirror

Peddling fast down the path...watch out!  aaaaw cuddles together.  Best friends forever too i hope (doesnt every mother?!)

So last week at school it was funky fluro friday.  Its a bit of a fund raiser, here are some photos of the girl all dressed up.  I didnt have much fluro but i did have funky and bright (may i add here that i did not ask her to pose like this, she did it all herself the big poser lol)

Here are the kids holding baby Emilia.  She doesnt look too impressed!  Im so proud of Rory, he is so gentle with her.  I think we have an arranged marriage on our hands here LOL.

And very exciting news.... after a few letters and phone calls to council, they finally are getting rid of the awful gravel pit out the front of our home and replacing it with roadbase... YAY.  After rain we would get potholes... and bring in mud and dirt into the garage.  I will have the before and after photos next week when they have finished.

Big 5th birthday party and more

Where does time go?
I think if i only did blog entries with no photos i could do more but i love spending time on picnik and doing all the pretty collages lol.

Firstly, to the big girls birthday part on Saturday.  We were so lucky with the weather.  It was at least 30C and sunny, perfect for a pool party (sunday was hot too and then it started to rain on Monday... and Tuesday... and overcast Wednesday).  Well it is Autumn now...

More fun in the pool with the neighbours.  The pool might only have another month left before its taken down for the cooler months.  I will miss it, its been so much fun.  It will become a normal slide after this, the kids will slide straight on the ground.

Getting the courtyard ready for the party is a big job.  Im so glad i had some helpers the day before..  (if only i could sweep naked lol).

One of the presents was a gorgeous floor puzzle which daddy helped the kids put together.

The kids love giving us back massages and my big boy loves giving daddy neck massages too.

Luckily the kids usually love dinner.  I took this photo because i asked my girl if she could be any more pinker!!!  Of course the boy wanted a photo too...

The courtyard is great fun to draw on with thick chalk.  Here are some creations...

Here are some photos of my girl throughout the years...

Big party tomorrow.  Lots of friends over and a lovely BBQ and fun games.  I will make sure i will charge up the camera!

Parties, haircuts and fun.

The older my kids get the more parties we go to.  Last weekend one of the parties was held at the local giant playgym called Megamania.  The kids can run around for 4 hours, eat party food and then we take them home exhausted but happy!

I got a haircut last week.  Here is before and after.  I rarely wore my hair out when long, but i do love long hair, although i probably love the thought of long hair more then anything... and its so thick and wavy its really hard to have it look pretty.  So off i cut it.  My hubby likes it better shorter too!

Recently my girl had my camera and took some photos.  Here are her photos and i guess what is interesting to her...

The other night the kids were really quiet.  So i had to go and investigate.  I found them in the loungeroom playing lovely together.  J was making beds for R to sleep in and he was happily accommodating her.

Hello home grown corn!

Next week J is turning 5, so im sure there will be heaps of photos from the cupcakes at school and the party on Saturday.

Comparisons

On the left is the kids with J aged around 2.5yrs and R aged a couple of weeks old.
The other photo taken the other day has them at nearly 5yrs and 2.5yrs. WOW.
J looks of course a little older but the boy has grown and grown and grown.  No wonder he eats so much.

More photos from school and Spiderman!

The photos on the right is when i picked up my girl after her first day at school.  She looked very tired but happy.  The larger photo is of the sports uniform worn on Fridays.

How cute is the boys pyjamas??!!!
They are spiderman pj's and they have this red material underneath the arms pretending to be the web.  He LOVES them.

Here is the boy with his sister and both our next doors neighbours.  Sophie lives on the left and Kelsi lives on the right.  How lucky is the girl having two friends so close in age and so close in location too!   The boy loves playing with them and terrorising them too lol

My Girl starts School!

Yesterday was my girls first day at Kindergarten.
She has been waiting a long long time for this day.  It was most exciting.  They scattered the start times for all kids so there wasnt a huge rush.  Me and the hubby both went and she was such a good girl, very brave and sat with her buddy, Nikki, and did some colouring in.

When i picked her up in the afternoon she looked a bit tired but said she had a good day, although it was a bit boring and she wished she could have played more outside then sit in the classroom LOL.

Today she asked what she was going to do... and i said back to school... and she said 'again??'.  How cute.

yep kid...again.

im really pleased how well she went and here are some photos...

On the weekend we visited our friends who live in Sydney in Killarney Heights.  Nice part of Sydney is that suburb..

The baby boy hasnt quite worked up the courage to ride his bike that he got for xmas, but the other day him and daddy checked it out and made sure it was in good working order..

Here is a photo of me and my mum and dad.  Who do you think i look like?

Playing with friends is one of the best memories i have from childhood... i just loved playing at someone elses home and hanging out with buddies, and i encourage it with my kids too.

We dont have a trampoline... our next door neighbour does and when we visited our friends on the weekend the kids had a great time playing.
