Year 2!

J started Year 2 yesterday, what a big grown up girl she is becoming.  Stop it, your growing up too quick my baby!  Rory starts Kinder next year, just watch me howl that day!

Happy New Year 2012!

Happy New Year, where on earth did 2011 go?  Im sure I was there, it just went sooo quick!  Rory is now 4 years 4.5 months old and Jakayla is 6 years 10 months old.  My babies are growing up very quickly!   Rory has one more year at home with me, thank goodness... honestly I only feel like he was born yesterday!  He is going to Peter Pan Preschool on Thrusdays and Arcadia Vale Daycare on Wednesdays.  Jakayla is about to start Year 2 at Arcadia Vale Public School and is very excited to be such a big girl now!    I am still working at my local gym every Monday taking a circuit class.  I also work for a recruiter and do resumes and computer work every Wed/Thurs.  We are all very busy :)  Wayne is working hard, people are still spending money on their homes, so he is always busy building, putting up skylights and ducting rangehoods!  Here are some photos from recently...

Wayne cut his hand cleaning a rangehood, it got infected and he had to have antibiodics via mouth and then via canula.  A week later he caught Jakayla's flue and due to all the antibiodics killing his immune system, he broke out in a rash that looked like hives.  It was horrible, it lasted about two weeks.

I knew if i found a bottle i would buy one...

November 2011...

A busy month

'Experts' think we dont let our kids play outside enough.  So these school holidays i have been taking the kids down to the local park for some fun.  We climb trees, play near the water, throw pebbles in the water, play on the slip n slide, the swing and climb all the equipment.  We also run around and have some fun.  That was until Rory found a near empty bottle of beer behind a tree and took a good swig of it! OMG.  All good, my heart stopped beating for a moment but he seems none worse for wear.  Im trying not to be a helicopter parent :)

Jakayla with wild hair and sound asleep.  Ever night Rory asks me to come back into his room and look after him.  I tell him i do go back in but he is always asleep.  He never believes me so i took a photo to prove it!  The little ponytail in his hair is cute, he didnt seem to mind!

I cleaned the courtyard on Saturday morning, it was bitterly cold but i rugged up and swept and cleaned and mopped.  It was a lovely sunny day, but very windy!

Bits and Bobs...

Rory usually loves shopping, today he wasnt too keen lol.   The last day of the term was Jakayla's sports school carnival.  Unfortunately it rained so most races were called off.  But look at those long legs run!

 

 

What more can I say, Jakayla and her boyfriend Tim.  He had a sleep over and they had a blast!

OK kids, this is a DETERRENT from drinking alcohol.  That night you slept at Nan and Pop's, well this is what Mummy got up to.  Very naughty Mummy. I paid dearly for it the next day, remember when Mummy stayed on the lounge ALL DAY LONG and Daddy had to pull the car over a couple of times so Mummy could oh so elegantly vomit in the grass.  Yeah this is that night. I had a ball with Lulu and Steve but gee not keen to repeat it all those red wines again anytime soon!

School reunion

Yes its been 20 years since i was in high school... kill me now.  Where has time gone!!!!  It was a fun night, pity more people didnt turn up but i know a few are living overseas (lucky them!!) and some couldnt make it for personal reasons.  Here are some photos of last night...
