More Ballarat!

We loved our holiday at Ballarat.  I would move there in a flash,  but it is 1100km's from here and i would miss my family and friends... plus its too cold for Wayne to work in his profession (a builder, so holding tools when its 2C doesnt work very well!).

This is us at a park in Pennant Hills.  It was freezing this morning and we were nowhere near Ballarat!  We stopped for brekkie and a stretch of the legs.

Giant wind turbines just past Goulburn.  They weigh 80 tonnes and are 80m tall!  We were very impressed.

We stayed the night at Glenrowen.  This is the place where Ned Kelly was captured and the battle was placed.  This is also the first night Rory slept in a big boy bed.  They loved it!

This is Trentham Falls, we are about an hours drive from Ballarat now.  It was absolutely freezing here and lighty raining.  They have had so much water lately that this gorgeous waterfall started to flow!
The view from our loungeroom window at the place we stayed.  Very old building dating back to the 1800's.

View from the carpark.  It used to be a boys home run by nuns.

1850's

On our holiday to Ballarat we visited the gorgeous Sovereign Hill.  It is an open-air museum, situated in an early gold diggings area of the 1850's.
Here is the link: Sovereign Hill
One of the first things we did was get a photo of the kids dressed up in clothes from that era.
Arent they just adorable!!!!

Happy Birthday Rory!

My little scrumptious bum turned 3 on the 14th August.  We had a party for him the week earlier as we were on our way to Ballarat on the 14th.  Here are some photos from the big day...

August it is!

Well there goes my "lets blog more then once a month" theory.... My bad!

Here's a small snapshot of July...

Jakayla has really gotten into building cubbyhouses.  Unfortunately they fall apart and dont stay up so they arent too much fun.  So Daddy went to a local appliance retailer who was more then  happy to pass on some empty cardboard boxes and this is the result:

We have had some gorgeous winter days lately (plus lots of rain in between).  So i set the picnic blanket up outside and Jakayla and her friend Sophie (who lives next door) had a play with their Bratz dolls.

Ah all washed and ready for bed, what a great time of day (for Mummy!!!)

Wayne and Tricky still have that special bond lol.  Tricky loves us all but especially Wayne.  Must be all the beer and toast he feeds him...

Jakayla loves all sorts of craft and especially painting.  Yesterday the girls painted their faces and had a great time!
