Walking with Dinosaurs!
This morning we saw the spectacular that is Walking with Dinosaurs! Jakayla was very lucky, she got a day off school and Rory had a day off from Pre-School. Wayne unfortunately couldn't take a day off work but was able to duck away for a couple of hours to see it. We had so much fun,I used to love dinosaurs when I was little, so seeing this show was very exciting!

Why i started this blog
I first started this blog purely to let friends and family catch up on what we were up to and see photos of the kids. Then i thought, wow this is a great way for the kids to see what we have done too and i hope when they are older they will appreciate it (that reminds me i must do a back up lol).
A huge bonus for me is meeting people on their blogs and interacting with them. I also love having my favourite blogs listed on my blog so i can see when everyone puts a new blog entry so i can catch up over brekkie. This is the easiest time for me, eating my porridge and cup of black tea while the kids are having their brekkie at the kitchen table watching ABC kids (great babysitter). One of my favourite blogs is Carly's blog. She is such a fantastic writer, very funny, talented, inspirational and a pleasure to read!
We have decided, as a family to travel around Australia in about 3 years time. We are selling up everything - house, cars, business you name it and buying a caravan and truck and heading around for about a year. So having a blog will be wonderful to record all our adventures and photos.
Here are some of my non-virtual great mates...

It's been a while...
Yes it's been a while. I have been busy with this and that.
I now have a couple of part-time jobs, one being a PA/Typist and the other is a Trainee Fitness Instructor at my gym. Then on top of doing the accounts for our business, being a chef/taxi driver/referee/cleaner and all round good guy :) The kids are swimming once a week, going to Little Athletics on Friday afternoons and basically being more social than their parents. Lol. Luckily i have always had my trusty mobile and camera with me....

A Day on the Green
Not far from where I live, is the Hunter Valley Vineyards. About an hours drive north you reach the gorgeous wine country where I have been many times to sample some of this country's favourite drinks.
The vineyards also hold a lot of concerts there. I was lucky enough to go to one last Saturday with my hubby and good friends.
On show was INXS, Train, Baby Animals and Sean Kelly from the Models. We got there nice and early and because of this we got front row (in the general admission section!). We took lots of water in an esky full of ice, food, comfy chairs and big hats. What a fantastic day. INXS were fantastic, they played some songs instrumentally which I found different and refreshing. Train were unreal, their lead singer Patrick was so charismatic and a real show man. Sean Kelly played some of his songs and some old Models songs which got the audience up on their feet dancing. And the Baby Animals were brilliant with the lead singer Suze rocking it like only a Rock Chick knows how... here are some photos.

Soldiers Point
We went away for 7 days/nights camping at the Big 4 at Soldiers Point, near Salamander Bay.
It was fantastic. We had so much fun, we have even booked in for next January! There was so much for the kids to do - trampolines, 2 pools (heated and outdoors), bike tracks, movie nights, kids club, indoor playgym, playgrounds, games room.... gosh and that doesnt even mention how awesome it was to sit outside our tent and watch all the kids go past on their bikes and scooters. It felt so comfortable and safe, the kids went off by themselves and played with all their new friends. I enjoyed cooking near our tent in my frying pan and healthgrill. Wayne has a fridge already set up in the back of his ute so that came in very handy. Next year we will have a new tarp to put over the top of everything and also we will bring my car trailor and place the fridge and small bbq on it. I cant wait!

Queensland Floods
At the moment an horrific flood is taking over most of south east Queensland and its just devastating.
At the time of sending this 11 people have died and at least 72 people are still missing.
As the damage bill and death toll rises from devastating flood, fears grow the worst is yet to come.
My heart goes out to all the people affected by the floods and im so thankful i live where i do and that i dont have any family or friends in this part of Qld.
